As we study Biblical history, which establishes foundation (roots), we find that it keeps us grounded and God-confident.  We have learned that Jesus is the Word…the Gospel.  Many remind us that He is the Messiah and the incarnate Son of God, who has come to reveal the Father and bring eternal life to all who believe in Him.  

       Jesus, being the perpetual Rabbi, saw another opportunity for a parable in order to raise both the consciousness and comprehension of the disciples then and us now.  Let us consider that Jesus taught that there is both physical and spiritual fulfillment.  Jesus was not a vegan nor vegetarian, however, he was systematic about ‘consumption’.  Clearly, our take-away is that God fills us with spiritual nourishment along with physical nourishment.  Let’s consider that we ought worry less about the physical and focus more on the spiritual.  I have learned that spiritual nourishment consists of joy, peace, wisdom, an over-whelming sense of well-being, and heightened faith in God who will supply all my physical needs, daily.

       Jesus patiently pours into us, that in His world, He is bigger than a few seasons.  In His world we are planters, laborers, and harvesters, each at different times.  In His world, we receive our ‘wages’.  In His world we are all laborers, together. In His world, the harvest is always plentiful.  In His world we become a ‘power’ within human creation!
