Disaster Relief Fund
From time to time in the United States and around the globe there are natural disasters—floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes. Such catastrophes place thousands of people in need of emergency help. The Cumberland Presbyterian Disaster Fund provides an opportunity for the church to respond to some of these most critical needs with material aid. Cumberland Presbyterians have opportunities to respond to direct appeals by the Missions Ministry Team whenever disasters happen. The MMT will seek to partner with Cumberland Presbyterians in the region or with long-time ecumenical partners. Another ongoing opportunity to respond to hunger needs is the Loaves and Fishes program, which is conducted during the Thanksgiving season each year.
