From the early-1960s through the early-1980s, the Office of the General Assembly collected biographical data from clergy and other persons active in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church on a denominational level. This information is currently trusted to the care of the Historical Foundation of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America but it is available to researchers and Center staff as required. This pool of biographical data has proven to be particularly useful to the Communications Ministry Team and data from these forms has made its way into the Cumberland Presbyterian Magazine. Obviously, quite a few years have passed since the early-1980s. Many prominent Cumberland Presbyterians have large gaps in their biographical information and many have never submitted biographical data at all. It is the hope of the Communication Ministry Team that we can begin to rectify this situation.
