Gladys Marie Murray Diamond, 75, widow of the Reverend James Diamond, mother to the Reverend Steve Howell-Diamond (Robert Donnell Presbytery), and mother-in-law to the Reverend Cardelia Howell-Diamond (denominational Coordinator of Women’s Ministry), died on August 4, 2020. Gladys was no longer a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She was born July 27, 1945 in Jamestown, Kentucky, to James and Anna Ella Murray.

Gladys was a loving pastor’s wife adding richly to her husband Jim’s ministries in the Cumberland Presbyterian denomination. She was an accomplished pianist, leading music in various churches and teaching students the love of music for many years. Gladys worked for the National Guard for 30 years, retiring from the Tennessee National Guard in 2012.
