Proverbs 4:25-27 Living Bible (TLB)
Look straight ahead; don’t even turn your head to look. Watch your step. Stick to the path and be safe. Don’t sidetrack; pull back your foot from danger.
Reflect
You know, the Bible is always telling us to watch the road ahead of us. We might get in trouble if we look back, and we had better not look side to side. It seems simple enough. But if it were really that simple, why is life so complicated? Why am I always “losing my way”?
As an avid ADD’er, I often get sidetracked, whether I want to or not. Either I take too long on a decision or don’t take long enough. So, I like simple. Simple is good. But I still get lost. What do I do? Well, I remember that
* I must keep looking ahead, even if I don’t recognize the path. I can watch for exit signs along the way – I have to.
* I will probably get sidetracked whether I am trying to or not. Live with it and be ready for it.
* God has already factored my ADD-ness into my GPS. He did that a long time ago. As long as I stick to the path and not play with the GPS I won’t be lost, at least not for long.
* I must always be in constant communication with God. That way, I will get the latest updates to my path.
Pray
Father, I know that You are really the one Who invented the GPS. And if it weren’t for You, I would be lost in life. Thank You for being the only map light I need. Amen.
Go with God!
