Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God. And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

Reflect

Peace is a beautiful thing! Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ gives us a confidence that we can withstand anything that comes against us! It is a supernatural weapon against the devil’s schemes of trying to cause chaos and confusion in our lives!

In this scripture, we also see that even though we do suffer, we will come out victorious! Suffering produces endurance which in turn produces character and character produces hope! Through the peace we have with God, we can endure, mature, and obtain hope even in the darkest times! And ALL of this is wrapped up in the love that God has poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us! Wow God!

Keep on keeping on, Soldiers of the Cross! You have a peace that surpasses all understanding through the author and perfecter of our faith, Jesus Christ, who has given us the grace to stand firm!
