Focus
As you quiet yourself for this brief time, be willing to be open to God in whatever way that may take place.

Psalm 92:1-4, 12-15 (NRSV)
It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
to declare your steadfast love in the morning,
and your faithfulness by night,
to the music of the lute and the harp,
to the melody of the lyre.
For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work;
at the works of your hands I sing for joy.
…
The righteous flourish like the palm tree,
and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
They are planted in the house of the LORD;
they flourish in the courts of our God.
In old age they still produce fruit;
they are always green and full of sap,
showing that the LORD is upright;
he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
Reflect
There is no time that I feel closer to God than when I sing. It might not sound perfect, but it is definitely a gift that I love to share. Every day I accept the pure love, grace, mercy, kindness and joy freely given to me by God, and I make a conscious decision to try to share it in my daily walk…to live in a state of gratitude and joy…and give back to God my purest form of praise…me. Nothing wild and wonderful…just me…stumbling along…still a work in progress.
If I choose, everything I do can be framed in love and joy. Simply having a happy heart in my day-to-day life and work, looking for God’s guidance in my journey, and knowing that God is the source of my joy gives me reason to sing!
Pray
Dear Lord, keep my eyes open to ways I can share your love and joy in my daily walk. Remind me that any act that brings glory and praise to you is worth doing. Amen.
Go with God.
