Event Overview
Participants will become a part of the Community and experience the excitement of the day when the church began. All the activities of the day are planned to bring the Day of Pentecost and the days following alive and allow the participants to get a glimpse into how the new believers of Jesus lived. Stops along the way will include Many Languages, Bread, Stories of Jesus, Fish Art Project, and more. Do you want to know more about what all that means – bring your children to Children’s Fest! It is an exciting, fun-filled, and educational day for young Cumberland Presbyterians!!
Peanut Butter Project
Each child who attends Children’s Fest is asked to bring at least one 28 oz jar of peanut butter to donate to the Smithville CPC Storehouse. The children will hear more about this ministry and about food insecurity and how their contribution is important.
SCPC Storehouse is the food ministry of the Smithville CP church. This ministry provides food for around 100 families weekly as well as other special events to help alleviate food insecurity in DeKalb County Tennessee.
