Hardly unexpected in light of the postponement of the 190th General Assembly meeting to 2021, the Reverend Cardelia Howell-Diamond, Coordinator of Women’s Ministry for the Missions Ministry Team, announced on May 1, 2020, that the 2020 Cumberland Presbyterian Women’s Ministry Convention which had been scheduled to meet concurrently with General Assembly in Louisville, Kentucky, has been cancelled.

Information about Convention 2020
The Women’s Ministry of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church has been Meeting for 140 years this year. It is an amazing opportunity for connection, study, faith and friendship to grow.
As many of you may have heard, the General Assembly has been canceled for this year. This means that we will not be able to meet for Convention in person this year. I am honestly sad about this development even while I believe that it is the right decision given our current world situation.
However, not meeting in person does not mean we cannot gather together. I am in the process of planning an online event for Convention this year. It is still in the planning stages and I will be sending out more information soon.
In the meantime, please send in your Convention offerings and project financial support to the office in Cordova. We made a commitment to support these ministries and they are counting on the generosity of CP Women to continue their work.
Also, if you have not selected a regional delegate for Convention please do so ASAP and send me their contact information. I will need to get together with them to do some work for this year.
I look forward to seeing you all soon, even if it is virtually!
Grace and Peace,
Cardelia Howell-Diamond
Coordinator of Women’s Ministry
